What age is My Pre-K Box suitable for?

My Pre-K Box is best suited for littles aged 3-5 as we focus on early childhood and pre-kindergarten/beginning of kindergarten level skills. In our grownup guide you will find suggestions on how to modify activities to best suit your little one's level.

Due to small parts, My Pre-K Box is not for children under 3. Adult supervision is required at all times.

What's inside My Pre-K Box?

Each month's box will be filled with early childhood educator and mom-created thematic play-based learning. You'll find multiple pre-kindergarten math and literacy games, a craft, and sensory play! You'll also find all the fun learning tools to go with it!  Learn more here.

How is My Pre-K Box developed?

At My Pre-K Box, we use our experience with curriculum writing, along with our background in early childhood and elementary education to carefully design our unique curriculum that can't be found anywhere else!  

 

We are total dorks for all things early childhood education and love reading up on current research to inform our practices. We focus on standards that are research-proven predictors of future school and kindergarten success.

 

We're also MOMS! We put our activities to the test against our own active young children to ensure they totally kid-approved!

What are the monthly themes?

We can't spoil the fun by ruining the surprise! 


All of our themes are carefully selected to be exciting and relevant to your little one!  Expect to see seasonal topics of interest (like leprechauns, sandcastles, snowmen, and witches).

How much does My Pre-K Box cost?

My Pre-K Box offers monthly, 6 month, and 12 month subscription options.

 

Choose our monthly subscription for $37.95 each month. 

 

Or save by committing to a 6 month term ($32.95/month) or 12 month term ($30.95/month). Learn more here.

How many children can play with My Pre-K Box?

My Pre-K Box contains math and literacy games and activities that can typically be shared between two children!

 

Each box also contains a craft relating to the month's theme! While these can be shared amongst siblings, it can be harder to do.  

To minimize the meltdowns and make your life easy, we are happy to send duplicate crafts for siblings (+$3.25/duplicate craft) at checkout! 

What additional materials will I need to purchase?

It's our goal to make your life EASY! With the exception of common household items you likely already have laying around (things like glue, scissors, bowls, and pencils), we include everything you need for prep-free playing and learning!

Can I purchase as a gift?

Absolutely; your gift is sure to impress! Simply select the gift option at checkout.

 

If you would like to delay when to start the subscription, you can select the date when you would like the subscription to start. This is also the date when you will first be billed. To send the upcoming month's box, be sure to select a date before our cut-off of the 27th. All boxes purchased before the 27th, including gifts, ship the first week of the new month.

 

Want to send the first box in your subscription to your address and the subsequent boxes to the gift recipient's address?  No problem! 

Get set up with your own shipping address, and the first box will ship to you. After you receive the first box, simply log into your account (using the icon at the top right corner of our website) and change the shipping address to the lucky kid's address for the future shipments!  

Where does My Pre-K Box ship?

My Pre-K Box currently ships to the United States. 

Is My Pre-K Box secular or religious?

My Pre-K Box is a secular curriculum. While our themes may relate to a popular American holiday (such as Valentine's Day, Halloween, or Thanksgiving), there is no religious education in our boxes.  

My Pre-K Box focuses on math, STEM, literacy, sensory, fine motor, and art objectives.

How did you develop the materials for My Pre-K Box?

We use the latest research and trends in early childhood education to determine not only which skills to focus on, but also how pre-kindergarteners learn them best.  We combine our expert experience in early childhood education and curriculum writing with our practical MOM experience to deliver the most kid and grownup-friendly activities!

How do the subscriptions work?

Our subscription plans are perfect for the modern family! 

It's simple.


Order by the 27th of the month (our cut-off date) and receive the next month's box! We always ship the first week of each new month!

 

6 and 12 month term subscriptions are committments for the entire term. We do not offer early cancellations or refunds. Cancel your next renewal cycle at any time.

 

Monthly plans can be cancelled any time.


All plans autorenew. Pause or cancel your subscription before your next billing cycle by logging into your account at the top of our website. Read more about how to pause or cancel here.

When will My Pre-K Box ship?

Order by the cut-off date of the 27th and My Pre-K Box ships the first week of the new month!

 

Order after the cut-off date of the 27th, and you'll receive the following month's box as your first shipment.

 

Here are a couple scenarios for clarity:

Ordering before cut-off date scenario:
Place order on October 26
First week of November, your first box ships!

 

Ordering after cut-off date scenario:
Place order on October 29
First week of December, your first box ships!

Will I be notified when My Pre-K Box ships?

Yup! You will receive an email with your tracking information! Be sure we have the right email on file.  You can always update your information by logging into your account at the top of our website.

Can I skip a month while we are on vacation?

Going on vacation? You deserve it! Feel free to pause your subscription for that month! Just be sure to pause it before your the 15th of the month before you leave, otherwise you'll still receive the upcoming month's box.

 

Example: If you want to skip the month of July, be sure to log into your account to pause by June 14th.

 

To pause:

Simply log into your customer portal by clicking on the profile icon in the top right corner of our website or by visiting this link directly. 


From there, you'll see your current subscription(s) listed. Simply click below where it says "Manage." Then click in the bottom right corner where it says "Subscription Settings."

In the Subscription Settings you will see the option to either pause or cancel your subscription.

When can I expect my package?

My Pre-K Box will ship via USPS the first week of the month! Shipping times vary slightly, but are generally about 1-3 business days.*  We'll shoot you an email with your tracking number so you can use it hunt down the goods!

To make sure you don't miss the upcoming box, read about the cut-off date (the 27th) in our FAQ!

*Due to COVID-19 you may experience slight delays in shipping times. We ship using USPS.

What does the cut-off date mean?

Great question! Our cut off-date to receive the upcoming box is the 27th. If you sign up before the cut-off date you will receive the next month's box.  If you sign-up after the 27th, you will receive the following shipment as your first box. We are a family business and the cut-off date allows us time to pack the boxes to perfection for you!

 

Here are two examples to clarify:

 

Example #1:
You sign-up January 20th, before the cut-off for the upcoming box.
Your first box is shipped the first week of February.

Example #2:
You sign-up January 30th, after the cut-off for the upcoming box.
Your first box is shipped the first week of March. 

 

If you've missed the cut-off date, but would like that box, shoot us an email and we can see if we have any extra in stock for you!

When will I be charged?

You'll be billed initially at sign up and on the 15th of the following months. 

 

Example Scenario for Monthly Plan: 
Place initial order on August 13th. 
First box is shipped the first week in September. 
Billed on September 15th. 
Next box is shipped the first week in October.

 

6 and 12 month subscriptions are term committments for the entire duration of the term. All subscriptions autorenew. We do not offer early cancelations or refunds, but you may cancel your upcoming term renewal at anytime.

How do I cancel my subscription?

It's easy! We explain it step-by-step here, or read below.

 

Simply log into the customer portal using the link at the top right of our website (or by visiting this link directly)  to pause or cancel your subscription any time before your next billing cycle.  

From there, you'll see your current subscription(s) listed. Simply click below where it says "Manage." Then click in the bottom right corner where it says "Subscription Settings."

In the Subscription Settings you will see the option to either pause or cancel your subscription. 

Note:
Monthly subscriptions must be cancelled by the 15th of the month, your rebilling date.

6 month and 12 month prepaid subscriptions are term commitments. We offer significant savings for customers committing to these terms and we do not offer refunds or early cancelations on these term plans before your term is up.

They are automatically renewed after your initial sign-up date (6 or 12 months respectively).  If you wish to cancel your auto-renewal, be sure to do so prior to the end of your term.

Can I stop my subscription from renewing automatically?

Yes! You have two options.

 

1. You can select "This is a Gift" at checkout. From there you can indicate how many shipments you'd like to send. (Just be sure you select a start date before the 27th if you'd like the recepient to receive the next month's box.)

 

2. You can simply to cancel your subscription in order to stop the automatic renewal. Simply cancel any time before your next billing cycle.*

*Remember 6 and 12 month plans are term commitments for the entire duration of the term. Cancelling these plans will cancel your autorenewal. You will continue to be billed and receive boxes until your entire 6 or 12 month term is up.

Return Policy

Do you accept returns?

We are unable to accept returns for any of our products and subscriptions. 

 

6 and 12 month term subscriptions are committments to the entire duration of the term. We do not offer early cancellations or refunds.  Cancelations of term subscriptions stop your plan from autorenewing for another 6 or 12 month term. When you cancel, you will continue to be billed on the 15th of each month and receive your remaining boxes until your entire 6 or 12 month term is complete. 

 

We strive to ensure top quality for every box. If you encounter an issue with your box, such as damaged or defective materials, email us at hello@myprekbox.com and we will take good care of you.

Can I return or refund my subscription subscription?

We do not allow for returns, full or partial, on gift subscriptions or any prepaid subscriptions. Although you may cancel the auto-renewal of a new term, we cannot process refunds.

What happens if the shipment is undeliverable to the address I provide?

Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for addresses that are submitted incorrectly. Please be sure your shipping address is correct prior to placing an order. A charge of $8.00 will be applied to reship to a different address.  

What happens if I move, but my box shipped to my previous address?

Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for incorrect addresses. Please be sure we have your correct, most current shipping address on file.  To update your address, simply log in to your account (by clicking on the profile icon on the top right side of our website).  A charge of $8.00 will be applied to reship to a different address.

How to Cancel or Pause

While all of our plans automatically renew, cancelling your subscription's renewal is easy.

 

Simply log into your customer portal. You can access it by clicking on the profile icon in the top right corner of our website or by visiting this link directly. 


After logging in, you'll see your current subscription(s) listed. Click below where it says "Manage."

Then click in the bottom right corner where it says "Subscription Settings."

In the Subscription Settings you will see the option to either pause or cancel your subscription.

That's it! You're all set!

 

Please note that our 6 and 12 month term commitments are commitments for the entire duration of the term you selected. Subscribers who select these plans receive significant savings, and thus we do not offer early cancelations on these plans.

 

However, you can easily schedule your term subscription to automatically cancel after the duration of your term!
